Stock Up on this ONE Food for Fall

Hey Food Finders!

This is going to be my quickest “Quick Tip” ever… but trust me you will be so happy you took my advice!

When September rolls around I stock up on broth, and I mean STOCK UP! I make room in my pantry, a corner of the closet, or up high on a shelf that I never use, and fill it with ten to twenty 32oz. containers of chicken, turkey, beef, vegetable, and bone broths!  I use organic, but you don’t have to. Most of them come in a low sodium version as well, if you are watching your sodium intake.

Why I Stock Up

All through the Fall and Winter seasons I use broth as the base to make weekly soups, stews, stoups (a combo of soup and stew, thanks Rachel Ray), casseroles, gravies, and sauces.  I can easily use 3-4 containers at a time to make a double batch of soup to eat for the week and freeze the leftovers for a quick and easy meal for another time.

When I get down to about 4-5 containers, I restock.

I never want to be without my broth!

Souper Saturday

And one more reason to stock up...I am starting SOUPER SATURDAY on my blog!

For the next 8 Saturdays, I am going to post a delicious, wholesome, hearty, healthy, low point/low calorie, soup recipe!  You won’t want to miss even one...so go stock up on broth!

(Note: 99% of my recipes will use chicken broth).
